The college has an excellent library housed in a commodious hall. The library is equipped with a large number of books on Education in particular and, on general subjects like General Knowledge, UGC and Fiction(English, Hindi, Punjabi) etc. The library has very rich collection of Rare books, Reference Books and Encyclopedias on educational research and many more, etc.
Library is automated through the software CDS/ISIS. Online Public Access Catalogue allows searching of books, dissertations and other library documents. One can search the Bibliographic record of books and other documents available in the library.
Our College Library serves as a portal from where the students and faculty can access a vast amount of reading material for their education & all round development. Online Access to e- books and e-journals is provided through N-LIST programme. As such the library reading room provides excellent atmosphere to students to update their knowledge in various fields.
There is a library committee comprising four members including Librarian. This committee is headed by Principal. The members of library committee give valuable suggestions and help in implementing decisions regarding library improvements, purchase and developments.
All the students of B.Ed., M.Ed. and college staff members are the members of college library. B.Ed. students can get 3 books and M.Ed. can get 4 books issued from library for the tenure of 15 days with renewal facility.
For the final examination, the students are privileged to get books issued.
There is a provision of 'Book Bank' for poor and needy students who are provided books for the whole year without having to get them reissued again. We have 704 books in Book Bank. Almost 36 students were given 3 to 5 books each for the whole semester from Book Bank in this current year.
They can get 10 books issued from library for the teaching and research purpose.The members of faculty enjoy the privilege of buying any book/books on behalf of the college which they might deem fit for the college library.
It is provided by the librarian to meet the user requirement regarding catalogue, OPAC and new additions in the library. Library staff assists the user to find out the books of rare titles especially for research, assignments, wall-magazine, college magazine and youth competitions like quiz, debate and poetry writing, etc.
The library has total of 14, 962 books on Education in particular and, on general subjects too available in three mediums i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi. The library has valuable collection of Reference books, National and International level journals both in print as well as electronic form.
Many valuable journals and periodicals are subscribed for the library as Journals being the primary sources of information. Archive to educational journals is also available.
Reference section is well equipped with educational surveys, reference sources & journals for educational and research purposes.
There is also internet facility for the staff and M.Ed. students for assignments and research work.
The library is housed with approx. 502 M.Ed. dissertations starting from the session 1972. Library has taken the initiative to receive the dissertations in form of CD-ROMs from last two years. Online public access catalogue allows searching of M.Ed. Dissertations by title, investigator, year & guide. One can search the Bibliographic detail of any book available in library like author, title, subject, accession numbers, publishers and call numbers etc.

Our college library is actively participating to N-LIST programme. National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content is an initiative of MHRD and it is executed by UGC-InfoNet, Digital Library Consortium, Information Library Network Centre, Ahemdabad and INDEST -AICET Consortium, IIT Delhi under the mission on Education through ICT with multifold objectives.
The Project facilitates access to 1,35,000+ e-Books and 6100+ e-Journals published in U.S, U.K and India on allied subjects including Education.
Login IDs & Passwords have been issued to students and faculty members by the College Library. Using these Login IDs & Passwords users can access these e-Resources 24*7 through Internet anywhere in the world.
